Floggers
Floggers for every intensity: faux-fur and suede for a soft thud, leather and chain for serious sting, from Rouge, Sportsheets, Sex & Mischief and Blush Novelties.
How to choose a flogger
A flogger is a handle with many tails, called falls. The material and number of falls set the feeling. Faux fur and soft suede are thuddy and forgiving, ideal for a first flogger. Leather falls are heavier and sharper. Chain floggers are the most intense and are for experienced players only. Longer floggers need more room and more skill; a short flogger or a mini paddle-flogger is easier to aim in a bedroom.

Frequently asked questions
How do you use a flogger?
Hold the handle loosely, swing from the wrist in a figure-eight so the tips of the falls land flat on the bottom, thighs or upper back, and start light. Build rhythm before intensity and avoid the spine, kidneys and neck.
What is the best flogger for beginners?
A short suede or faux-fur flogger with 20 to 30 falls is the easiest to control and feels thuddy rather than sharp. Expect to pay $20 to $55.
What does a flogger feel like?
Soft materials feel like a heavy, warm thump; leather adds a sting on top; chain is intense and should be reserved for experienced players. Many people describe a good flogging as a deep massage with an edge.
How do I clean a flogger?
Wipe leather or suede falls with a slightly damp cloth and let them dry flat; never soak them. Faux fur can be gently hand-washed, and chain can be wiped with toy cleaner.
