Water-Based Lube
Water based lube that is safe with every toy and latex condom: Sliquid, Pjur H2O, JO H2O, Wicked Aqua, La Nua and Intimate Earth, travel size to 6.8 oz.
Why water-based is the default lube
Water-based personal lubricant is compatible with every toy material, including silicone, and with latex condoms. It rinses off with water, does not stain, and feels closest to the body's own lubrication. The trade-off is staying power: it can dry during longer sessions, which a drop of water or a top-up fixes. If you own silicone toys, this is the shelf to buy from.

Frequently asked questions
What is water based lube?
A personal lubricant whose main ingredient is water, usually thickened with cellulose or aloe. It is compatible with all toys and condoms and washes off easily.
Is water based lube safe with silicone toys?
Yes. Water-based lube is the safe default for silicone toys because it will not degrade the surface, while silicone lube can affect some toys.
Does water based lube dry out?
It can during longer sessions because the water evaporates. Add a few drops of water or saliva to reactivate it, or reapply.
What is the difference between water-based and silicone lube?
Water-based is lighter, toy-safe and washes off; silicone is slicker, lasts much longer and is waterproof but should not touch silicone toys.
What is the best water based lube for sensitive skin?
Glycerin- and paraben-free formulas such as Sliquid Sassy, Intimate Earth Hydra or Wicked Aqua Sensitive are made with sensitive skin in mind.
